Post-Xmas Ramblings
Hey Everyone... finally, here's my Story of Xmas!!
and here's the xmas montage I promised... We start with what I drove thru to get there (although it doesn't look nearly as bad on camera as it was) and move on to what I arrived into!! Please have patience thru the part with the kids playing, I know there's alot of it and I'm kinda rambling and its dark (try to watch it at night with the lights out if you can't see it), but I think the message is important and completely relevant to the theme of this overall site... AND some of the things these kids come up with on their own is absolutely mind-blowing (at least to me).

Xmas Eve - Snowed In
Hey guys...so sorry this is so late... my video upload service totally let me down over Xmas!! Anyway, here's the beginning of my Xmas Eve:
After I recorded this vlog, however, the snow let up a tiny bit, my building manager shoveled the driveway to the garage and the roads on the webcams along the freeways didn't look too horrible, so I hit the road... more to come about that soon!

Wednesday & We're In The Kitchen Again!
Hey everyone! I finally got to a few of my specialty stores and put some good food back in the cupboards and fridge. So thought this a good opportunity to stop making promises and not keeping them! Here's a trip thru my well-stocked (at least for me) kitchen!
Oh, and for the record, I did NOT do the stairwells after all. By the time I got home it had gotten nice out, so I went for a ride on my legs, a lovely endurance run, instead. And, yes I was well-behaved at lunch. Had a salad w/grilled chicken & a club soda and also a coffee with some skim milk. And am very proud of self for not causing any guilt as a result of this day! :-)

What is #30DC??
Hey guys... for those of you who wonder what the heck I keep tweeting about when I say I'm leaving the twitter conversations to go back to watching videos for the #30DC or "30 Day Challenge", well this is one of the reasons I gave up regular TV!! I'm too busy watching videos on the computer! LOL
Actually, I'm trying to learn some new things about the Internet and all its mysteries and secrets. Basically, its a set of FREE lessons about how to make some bux on this crazy medium.
Learning new things is always exciting. And scary. But how does one grow unless they step out of their comfort zone? I'm determined to always be open to learning and growing in life. I hope you guys are too. So, I'm gonna do it and see how it goes.
I'll let you know what happens!

Oh, also I forgot to mention in the video that I actually shaved a full 2:15 off my endurance/hills run today (that's 2 MINUTES, 15 SECONDS!!) since the last time I did the same run just last week by just 'given er' instead of being delicate about it ... and man did that feel great!!!

Thursday - Plateaus
Happy Thursday everyone!!!
Ok, so one very loyal follower is pushing my buttons again!! Just joking, healthy debate is fun! But anyway, dear Kelly has kindly pointed me at one stair stepping machine that actually DOES mimic a real stairwell, and I have to concede that YES, this particular machine comes about as close as you can get to a REAL stairwell. I would even go so far as to say this machine is probably HARDER than a real stairwell, mostly because you'll never get to the top if you don't want to, the ROM is exactly the same as a real stairwell, and if you set the speed high enough you have to keep going at that speed or be swept away.. on a real stairwell you can slow down any darn time you want to (aka: cheat!). Just don't be hanging on to those side bars or front part and I'm a fan of this one! Good on ya, girl!
However, further to my comment about how some machines let you rest too much of your body and do alot of the balancing for you, here's another pic of me we took during my photo session; this one is on a stationary bike. I mean, c'mon, there's even a place to rest your forearms so you can 'relax' upper body while you work your legs. Geez. Dumb. Just plain dumb.
Anyhoo, here I go yakking on about my current program again, as well as a few more tidbits about getting off plateaus! Enjoy!

Thursday - All Packaged Up

Wednesday - Sugar!
A couple of omissions to yesterday's "Do Not Eat" list are addressed, and I finally dive into the pantry for a short visit regarding sugar.
oh, and btw, that chocolate bar? ORGANIC! yep. and a VERY short ingredients list, cocoa mass, raw cane sugar & cocoa butter. The best chocolate bar I've been able to find out there. The brand is "Vivani". If you're going to eat chocolate, try to make it at least 70% dark (antioxidants) and organic. and then enjoy!
and finally, a quick shout out to a fellow blogger, who has deemed ME and my pictures worthy of posting on her blog, as inspiration. Thanks for the props gf, it such an honour!

Saturday - Later that Day!
Hey guys... I'm starting to get some of my fitness pics back now. Here's a really nice one, showcasing my abs.
Interestingly enough I got this back from my photog friend the same day I finally figured out how to post a link to something I wanted to recommend. If you look on my sidebar you'll notice a new link, to Mike Geary, who I've mentioned now at least on two separate occasions. I didn't start this vlog just to sell crap to you guys. But I'll be honest with you, if I have used a product or service or read an eBook I TRULY believe in, I'm going to link to it for you. I'd like to keep the integrity of my vlog pure and clean... and honest. I do this cuz I like doing it. I do this cuz I like sharing with you guys, I find you inspirational and I find inspiration from you guys finding ME inspirational! And if my vlogs help you guys, then I'm doing something right. Its all about "giving" in life, isn't it? Helping others on your road to being the best person you can be? and leaving a footprint that mattered after you're gone? That, kids, is MY dream. To have made a difference to even one soul on this planet, but to as many as reasonably possible!
Anyway, I have read "Truth About Abs" ... it was my first stop on my journey and I'll be forever grateful I found it. I really believe in Mike Geary for his theories and ideas about fat, food & compound exercises.
So, keep the faith if you see a link or two. I'm going to do my absolute best to keep my links relevant and only post things I TRULY believe in, have used myself, know what they're all about and can honestly tell you I recommend it... and, I recommend Truth About Abs... I mean LOOK at my abs! Even *I* can't believe how awesome this picture is!! I'm feeling pretty proud right this minute. :-)
Interestingly enough I got this back from my photog friend the same day I finally figured out how to post a link to something I wanted to recommend. If you look on my sidebar you'll notice a new link, to Mike Geary, who I've mentioned now at least on two separate occasions. I didn't start this vlog just to sell crap to you guys. But I'll be honest with you, if I have used a product or service or read an eBook I TRULY believe in, I'm going to link to it for you. I'd like to keep the integrity of my vlog pure and clean... and honest. I do this cuz I like doing it. I do this cuz I like sharing with you guys, I find you inspirational and I find inspiration from you guys finding ME inspirational! And if my vlogs help you guys, then I'm doing something right. Its all about "giving" in life, isn't it? Helping others on your road to being the best person you can be? and leaving a footprint that mattered after you're gone? That, kids, is MY dream. To have made a difference to even one soul on this planet, but to as many as reasonably possible!
Anyway, I have read "Truth About Abs" ... it was my first stop on my journey and I'll be forever grateful I found it. I really believe in Mike Geary for his theories and ideas about fat, food & compound exercises.
So, keep the faith if you see a link or two. I'm going to do my absolute best to keep my links relevant and only post things I TRULY believe in, have used myself, know what they're all about and can honestly tell you I recommend it... and, I recommend Truth About Abs... I mean LOOK at my abs! Even *I* can't believe how awesome this picture is!! I'm feeling pretty proud right this minute. :-)

Pre-Party mind-spurt - Motivation again
Hey Kids!! Ok, I'm on my way out for the evening, and had a thought to share about motivation. Here it is, I'll let it speak for itself!
Thursday Post-Workout Motivation
I'm doin' stairwells today, and here's the resulting brain-spurt!! :-) I'd like to preface this with the correction that when I was talking about stairwells being good "HIIT" I probably should have said they're good "Intervals"... one of the "I's" in HIIT means Intensity, and no one can have intensity going on if they're reading a book. Okay?? Okay!!

Let's Motivate!!
Welcome to Wednesday! I answer the question of how I got to the mindset I'm at now, how I motivate to workout every day, and eat right.
Also, for the person that asked me what I think about the P090X, I'm sorry, I don't have any knowledge about that program. I prefer to write my own programs. But I have heard it will kick your BUTT! and that you need access to a pull-up bar to get the full benefit from it. I am intrigued by it, might even try it someday, but I'm pretty good at kicking my own butt so for now will be sticking with my own programs.

Yesterday we ran, Today We WALK!
Hey Everyone, I'm taking you on a tour of where I do most of my cardio today. Luckily I figured out how to string a bunch of little videos together no problem so its all in one video (phew), but this video is a bit longer than the others.
I'm also trying a different format with video upload today. Let me know if you like it or hate it. If its no good, I'll go back to blip.tv.

We're off 'n running now!
Hey everyone... here's a quick tour thru the space I work out in (also known as my home!). I made a small mistake in one area, so when I start talking about doing 'chest presses' on a chair, I actually meant 'shoulder presses' ok? :-)
I also wanted to point out when I'm talking about super circuits using all compound moves and my doubt that they can keep muscles defined, what I mean really is that you pretty much have to use lighter weights when doing compound moves and isolation moves lend themselves more to lifting heavier weights and adding muscle and definition to the muscle you are isolating.

I HAVE ARRIVED!!!
I finally got it together and put together a blog for myself. Still trying to figure out what will make me compelling enough to bring you back again and again, but I'm sure that will come.
