Hi GWNN,
I am not sure what gurus you follow but I always thought that
a squat was a compound exercise whereas a leg extension is an isolation move?

Hello Jackie,
I appreciate your blog and the great info you are sharing. I am following all the way in Austria.
I agree with your nutrition and your training is badass. Thanks.
Thought I would stop by and say hello.
I also like to make up compound moves. I highly recommend medicine balls. They are fun to use in those squat presses, just don't drop 'em...damage may occur. lol.
jennifer in austria
ps. I am also in the 40+ and fabulous crowd.
Hey Visionquester, yup, you are totally right...sorry! that's what I get for yakking off the top of my head without notes! Anything that involves more than one joint action is indeed a compound move. I guess I was talking more about FULL BODY compound moves, but right you are, squats are considered to be a compound move.. moves that incorporate only one joint action are isolation moves, so squats don't fall into that category.
thanks for the correction, always good to get the slap when needed!
thanks for letting me know you've joined us jennifer!! wow, Austria! my grandparents were from there! would love to visit one day!

Hey there ... new commenter and frequenter of your vlog!
Is there any chance you'll do a bit more "showing the moves" when you're talking about specifics?
I often listen and then go "huh?" as I try to recall later what you've talked about ... a visual would help maybe ? (I may totally be in the minority though)
Hi Naomi. I can try to incorporate more visual. I am limited by the fact that I hold the camera when I'm talking to it, so if I keep stopping to put in a visual the video gets a bit disjointed. I'll give it some thought and see what I can come up with!
thanks for watching!
Loved both vlogs! Great info here! I think a little bit of everything is good. Give your body variety and keep it guessing!
